Celebrating the Small Things!

This hop comes with easy instructions: Sign up, post something to celebrate,
hop around, cheer on others, and bask in warm glow. Full instructions and badge *here.*

This week I'm celebrating that I had sugar overload with a couple bites of . . . wait for it . . . cake! Wednesday was my Mom's birthday and we got a chance to enjoy dinner and cake with her.

Book-wise, I'm at the last set of revisions before I let others read Static. I'm at the point of "I can't find any more excuses and must let it be ripped apart." I can't wait! I need it to be someone else's problem for a while. I cannot believe how many times I changed things in this manuscript Nothing was ever good enough and I had a hard time taking my finger off the "delete" button. The good thing, though, is I moved most of that to the third book. So let's see what happens when I get to working on that one . . . Anyway . . .

I'm also celebrating that I finally got all of my posts scheduled for the A to Z challenge. Boom!
And if you feel like finding out what new shenanigan I've been up to, well . . . check out this week's Coffee Chat ;)

What are you celebrating?

  1. Happy birthday to your mom. Only a couple of bites of cake? Is that possible? Congrats on handing over static to your beta reader.

    1. Only a couple, because I haven't had sweets in a while and I really tasted the sugar overload...it was good and yummy though! Oh thanks...I haven't handed it over yet, I'm almost done with this set of revision and then I'll pass it along and say, "so long sucker!" lol

  2. Pleased to hear you're getting on well with the revision on Static, and having your A-Z sorted. I haven't sorted mine yet!!
You should have had more cake, Katherine. You only live once and celebrating your Mum's birthday is the best of celebrations. Well wishes to your Mum.

  8. That's exactly how I feel when I'm writing now - nothing's ever good enough. Oh, for the days when I was a lousy writer and blissfully unaware of it. The better you get, the more errors you see. The more errors you see, the more insurmountable it all seems. Congrats on sending your WIP to the CPs and for finishing your A-Z. That's awesome! :)

Oh, I haven't sent my WIP away yet, I'm almost done with this set of revision and then I'll send it away fast. Like really really fast, like faster than a speeding bullet...okay, I'm getting carried away o_o

  12. Don't hold against me what another Austrian said ("Let them eat cake") ...
You already finished your articles for the A to Z?! I am still struggling how to get the banner onto a sidebar! I might have to give a shout for help...unless I get smart all of a sudden.
Glad you splurged especially after getting to the finish-line with your book.

    1. I ate the cake...will splurge more on it in a few weeks lol
Okay, I have your back! Let's help you add the banner to your side bar. Follow these steps:

      1- Go here: http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com
2- On their sidebar, right below the AZ Badge, there's an HTML code section. "Copy" it!
3- Go to your Dashboard in blogger.
      4- Click on add Gadget.
      5- Select the HTML/Javascript option.
      6- Click save!
7- Arrange the position on your sidebar according to your preference ;)
