B is for Broquet. It stands for bro bouquet/"flower" arrangement. Still confused? All right, example:
Kevin walked into his apartment, and slammed the door behind him. Chris sat there, waiting in silence.
“How could she do this, Chris? How could she drop that bomb on me?”
“Dunno bro, but I gots something that’ll make you aight.”
Chris leaned down, grabbed something and placed it on the table. The big vase was holding a variety of mini alcoholic beverages, and they were arranged between tissue paper, shot glasses, and soda. “A broquet, dude. Drink up.”
*Not an S.K.’s original. I wish I’d thought of it.
**Actual characters from my upcoming novel Static.
***Not an actual scene. Thank goodness.

Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds! Posting is first Wednesday of every month. Click here for more info.
This will be VERY short: I'm insecure. That's it, I'm done.
Too short? Okay, let's see . . . I'm nervous my A to Z posts are too silly. But they're written and finished and I have two other things that are freaking me out. What? Glad you asked (or glad I asked for you—take your pick). My writing goals for the year are backed up. I'm way behind on Static and on the other MS I had planned on finishing (and publishing) this year. On the other hand, I would never rush a job and release before it's ready . . . so I'm freaked out, but I'm okay with it at the same time.
More than anything I'm disappointed in me. Life happens and we have to be ready to deal with its many surprises. So that's what I'm attempting to do: deal with set backs while accepting not everything is in my control, but still applying pressure so I keep on going.
Thanks for "listening" to me, bros.
Here's a broquet as a thank you for your time:
