A to Z Challenge—S.K.-isms! D is for . . . [ & Celebrating Stuff ]

D is for Diamoned. Used as a past tense verb. Example:

Girlfriend walked into the party. Raised her hand, flashing a smile, “I’ve been diamoned!”
A drunk friend went to greet her, and pointed to the bedazzled tattoo on her forehead, “I’ve been diamoned too.”
“No silly, I’m engaged!”
“Oh, then, well, say that. Don’t be inventing stupid words.”

*Err . . . S.K.’s original o_O

This week I'm celebrating that I got major amounts of laundry done. With my current schedule and running around? It was a miracle.

Also, we took the kids to see Disney's Jake and The Neverland Pirates and Sophia the First's show. It was cute, they had fun, and are still talking about it. Now more than ever baby girl is a princess and baby boy is a fireman pirate. No matter what, always a fireman. And in case you were wondering they sometimes call me Princess FireMom. :D

What are you celebrating?

Glad the ids enjoyed the show. It is always nice to see them get into something.

  5. You have to wonder about people with bedazzled tattoos on their foreheads...and hey! The stupid words are the only ones worth making up, Princess FireMom. (I can only imagine what the hat looks like for that role.)

  8. Yeah, the person with the bedazzled tattoo on their forehead is definitely the one to be chastising someone for making up words. lol

  14. Lol, I have to admit I got a laugh out of 'getting diamonded'. Never forget just how silly the English language is, especially as it is constantly evolving. Good God, selfie is in the dictionary now, can't get much sillier than that.

  16. We turn all kinds of nouns into verbs. That's part of our English fun and games and why we have so many darned words! Here's to clean laundry, something worthy of being grateful for.
