A to Z Challenge—SK-isms! A is for . . .

So here we are . . . on the very first day of my A to Z challenge adventure. As a make-stuff-up-er I have a few words I decided I should post. They’re all made up—not all necessarily by me—and I’m sharing them with you because I care about enriching (or messing up) your vocabulary.

* * * Warning: these are silly. You will not gain brain cells. * * *

A is for Almbs. It stands for almost abs. Example:

As sweat drips from my body, and I push to the end, I’m led to believe I almost have abs. I imagine them popping out and proudly showing themselves to the world. But then I finish my workout, I go to the mirror and . . . I got no abs, man! It’s buried in there somewhere, I know it. For a second, though. A slight second . . . I did feel like almbs. Oh the dream.

*S.K.’s original word. No, I’m not proud.
**It gets better from here. Then worse, then better again. Promise.

  1. I am trying to get abs, or rather making sure the fat cells there melt away :) Here is to our Almbs.

  2. That's funny. So now I know there's a name for it. I once said that when I suck my stomach in and close my eyes I could totally see my abs.

  11. There's a saying, which is probably a lie, but it's one that works for me so I like it -- it says, "Men love the women they are attracted to and Women are attracted to the men they love." That being the case I am better served buying flowers and writing poems while my wife goes to the gym to work on her almbs.

  12. Cute post and if you haven't had kids yet, it's easier to get almbs. It won't be long before you see them. Keep sweating.

    1. Fear not, Mary. Even if it isn't working on them, the workout fools you long enough to think its worth it...or something.
